The Alexandria girls swim and dive program had a top-three finish in its conference, section and was a top 20 team at the state meet. Recently, the team handed out its yearly awards.
Alexandria's Jisella Haskamp earned another top-eight finish at the state meet while Erica Johnson improved upon her 11th-place finish in the 1-meter dive at the 2021 MSHSL State diving meet with an eighth-place finish at the 2022 MSHSL State diving meet.
Alexandria placed second at the Section 6A meet and qualified a handful for the Class A state meet. The Alexandria coaching staff took home some Section 6A honors as well on Saturday. Grace Urke, Jisella Haskamp, Alaina Guenther and Brooklyn Millward broke a school record in the 200 medley relay and qualified for the state meet.
The Brainerd girls swim and dive team earned a close 102-84 win over Alexandria in a conference battle on Thursday. Alexandria head coach Crysta Krause says she's seen the team grow so far this season.
Led by a first-place finish in the 200 freestyle relay by the team of Alaina Guenther, Emma Bugher, Brooklyn Millward and Jisella Haskamp, the Alexandria girls swimming and diving team took third place at the West Fargo Border Battle on Saturday. Alexandria had 10 top-five finishes at the invite.
