The Brandon-Evansville girls basketball team dropped its first game of the season as turnovers hampered the Chargers (2-1) in a 56-33 loss to Browerville-Eagle Valley (3-1) on Tuesday.

“We didn’t handle their pressure well at all,” B-E head coach Zach Traphagen said. “Twenty-one turnovers in the first half really set us back in a hole we weren’t able to climb out of. We did handle the ball a little better in the second half, but Browerville has a nice team and answered every little run we went on. Now we have to put this tough one behind us and focus on getting better for our next one against Underwood on Friday.”

The Tigers forced 33 B-E turnovers overall. Olivia Otto and EmmaLee Brethorst each had nine points to lead the Chargers offensively.
