The Minnewaska football team suffered a narrow defeat at the hands of the Mainstreeters in Sauk Centre on Friday night.

Schimmers made another connection, this time with Royal Weber, who scored from the 22 yard line for the second touchdown of the game. The two point conversion was no good.
The Lakers (4-2) soon responded with their own two touchdowns. First, quarterback Matt Gruber carried the ball from the 31 yard line for a touchdown and Drew Nelson made a successful kick for the extra point.
Then, Ryan Christianson made a 45 yard run into the end zone. Grant Jensen kicked and scored the extra point for the Lakers, making the score 14-14 in the first quarter.
