The Alexandria gymnastics team is moving into a new facility at Discovery Middle School next year, and the Cardinals fell in a 141.4-136.45 final against a good Bemidji team in their last meet at their current Lakes Area Gymnastics building.

“Even though we fell short to Bemidji, the Cards gave it everything and had fun,” head coach Tayler Kaufman said. “There were a few girls who experienced their varsity debut and did a great job when asked to step up. It was a special night for everyone.”

Ailynn Fettig keeps adding to her big season as she finished first in the all around with a 35.7. She upped her personal-best score on the vault with a 9.5 to win that event. She led Alexandria on the bars (fourth overall, 8.3) and the floor (second, 9.3, PR), while Hailie Kent was second on the beam with a new PR of 9.05.
