The Alexandria baseball team had no problems in Fergus Falls on Thursday night as the Cardinals won 16-2 to improve to 3-2 overall and in the Central Lakes Conference.
Alexandria had 15 total hits. Elijah Holthaus was 2-for-3 with two runs scored, and Devan Swerman had three hits, two runs and two RBIs.
Shay Endres and Devin Cimbura added two hits apiece, as well. Nate Hammerback, Swerman, Cimbura, Clayton Birdsall and JD Hennen all doubled.
That offense made life easier for Endres on the mound. He followed up a gem in his first outing this year by dominating the Otters with 13 strikeouts through six innings. Endres allowed no earned runs around four hits and two walks allowed.
Parker Jendro tossed a scoreless final frame to close out the game.
