Alexandria's Logan Doyle was named the most valuable player for the Cardinal boys' basketball team after averaging a double-double in 26 games.
Doyle led the team in points (407) and rebounds (360) on his way to 15.7 points and 13.8 rebounds per game. The 6'8" forward also averaged almost four blocks a game with 102 rejections and was also named to the Minnesota High School All-Star game April 5-6 at St. Cloud State and Macalester College (St. Paul).
Doyle and junior guard John Vogeler were both named to the All-Central Lakes Conference team. Junior guards Brandon Bistodeau and David Krivanek were honorable-mention selections. Vogeler averaged 15.1 points per game in 19 contests. Krivanek was third on the team with an 8.4 points per game average.
Bistodeau put in 7.3 points per night and was also called the best perimeter defender on the team by head coach Forrest Witt after a first-round win in the playoffs. His teammates agreed as they voted him the Defensive MVP.
Chase Kohler came onto the scene this year and provided some good minutes for the Cardinals. He was voted the team's move improved player after putting up 105 points and grabbing 48 rebounds.

The Cardinals came on late to finish .500 on the season at 13-13. They were sixth in the Central Lakes Conference at 7-9.
