The Minnewaska cross country teams were in Paynesville on Sept. 24 where the girls came away with a third-place finish in a seven-team field.

The Lakers had 90 points. Rocori won the meet with 19 and Eden Valley-Watkins was second with 67.

Sydney Perry led Minnewaska with a 14th-place finish in 22:44.9. Sydney Hagen was 17th in 23:00.9, and Sydnie Chevalier was right behind her in 18th place (23:01.6).

Elsey Hagen (21st, 23:13.6), Kiearra Wilmes (25th, 23:45.2), Molly Hjelm (27th, 23:53.3) and Ava Chevalier (33rd, 24:15) finished off the lineup.

The Minnewaska boys did not have enough runners to qualify for a team score. Maeson Tank was 27th with a time of 20:07.9, while Nick Ankeny was 41st in 21:05.9.
