The Cardinal Nordic ski teams put together one of their best finishes of the season at the Willmar Invite last Tuesday.

The Alexandria boys finished second as a team, while the girls took fourth. The Cardinal boys had three top-10 individual finishes. Jimmy Lovrien paved the way, finishing sixth overall in a time of 19:09 on the 5K course. Tyler Johnson was right behind him in seventh (19:22), while Todd Johnson was ninth (20:15). Cody Call also raced varsity for Alex, finishing 12th in a time of 20:37.

The girls were led by Julia Sieling's third-place individual finish. She completed the 5K course in 21:51. Melissa Gromatka was seventh (22:41), Leah Stinson finished in 14th place (25:01) and Katie Lovrien was 21st (26:17).
