The Cardinal girls doubled up Rocori-River Lakes in shots on goal and in scoring as they edged the Stars 2-1 Thursday night in Central Lakes Conference hockey.
Alexandria had 32 shots on goal, holding the Stars to just 17 in the win as Stephanie Drown stopped all but one as she played in goal.
Quinn Kragenbring opened the scoring with a goal off a pass from Kally Kragenbring at 3:49 in the first period, but the Stars came back to tie the game in the second as Danica Murphy notched the game-tying goal at 9:14.
Rachael Finley put Alexandria back in the driver's seat as she scored at 4:01 in the third off assists by Claire Illies and Alia Kopischke.
The win moves the Cardinals' overall record to 5-1-1.
