The Cardinal boys' basketball team almost came away with a win against one of the top teams in the Central Lakes Conference last Friday night.
Little Falls came to Alexandria and trailed by eight at the break before the Flyers battled back in the second half to pick up a 56-50 win.

"Our guys played with an impressive level of energy and passion," Alexandria head coach Forrest Witt said. "That energy needs to be consistent from game to game, and if we can do that, our basketball team can be very good.
