The Ashby boys basketball team was fresh off a season-high 91 points over Battle Lake on Monday night, but the Arrows (14-0) found things to be a little more difficult in a 59-41 win at Ortonville (2-11) on Tuesday.
Ashby led by just one at the half.
“It wasn’t pretty,” head coach John Holsten said. “We made three threes early in the second half that gave us a lift. We weren’t mentally ready to go. The coaching staff, we didn’t get them ready to play.”
The Arrows shot 22-of-48 overall and 8-of-19 from three. Jacob Cook had 17 points and nine rebounds, while Jaden Norby added 16 points, eight rebounds, four assists and four steals.
Nathaniel Miska had 10 points to lead Ortonville.
