Boseks earn MVP honors for Alexandria Nordic ski teams

Athletes recognized for a season that included a trip to the state meet for the Alexandria girls Nordic ski team.

The Alexandria Nordic ski program recognized a season that included a trip to the state meet for the girls’ team by handing out season awards where the Bosek siblings took home the top honors of MVP.

Kaisa, a senior, helped lead a deep girls team to second place at the Section 8A meet and that trip to the state tournament. She finished second individually at sections in a time of 29:02.49, while Ryker Bosek, a sophomore, was the Alexandria boys’ top finisher at sections with a time of 26:35.29.

Emma Reineke and Jack Struck earned Alexandria’s Hardest Worker Award. Reineke also had a top-10 finish at the section meet by taking eighth in 31:55.73. Struck wrapped up his career with a 37th-place finish at the 8A meet in a time of 27:54.47.

Kamryn Coauette and Allea Balcome were the Team Spirit Award winners for the girls. Tiahna Goeke and Jacob Tiegen rounded out the honors handed out by the Cardinals with the Most Improved Award.

Alexandria head coach Jeremy Rapp also made a special recognition of the group of girls who made that state meet. The Cardinals finished 12th as a team behind Kaisa Bosek, Reineke, Coauette, Jaelyn Miller, Dulce Bakker, Lauren Huber, Teresa Bitzan, Amanda Bergerson, and Lauren Englund.
