With its 5-4 overtime victory over the Bismarck Bobcats on the final day of the regular season, coupled with the Coulee Region Chill's 4-1 loss to the Austin Bruins, the Alexandria Blizzard won the North American Hockey League's (NAHL) Central Division regular season title.
The Blizzard finished the regular season with 72 points, one more than second-place Coulee Region and the third-place Owatonna Express.
The Blizzard will start their first round of playoffs this weekend at home against divisional rival Bismarck.
