Boys basketball: Lakers recognized on and off the court

This photo from 1999 of (left to right) Norm Grow of Foley, Starbuck’s Matt Pederson and Ron Johnson of Starbuck is one of Pederson’s favorites as it pertains to his involvement in tracking state basketball records in Minnesota. Johnson set what was then a single-game scoring record with 69 points on Feb. 17, 1953 before Grow beat the record in 1958 with a 70-point performance.
