The Brandon-Evansville girls basketball team (15-10) rebounded from a loss to Parkers Prairie on Thursday by taking care of Wheaton-Herman-Norcross (9-14) 54-44 at the University of Minnesota-Morris on Saturday.

The Chargers had to recover from a five-point deficit at the half, but they did that by putting up 37 points after halftime.

"It was a great team effort tonight to really gut out a win against a quality Wheaton team," B-E head coach Zach Traphagen said. "I’m really proud of the way the girls applied pressure to force 25 turnovers and get some easier baskets off of those turnovers. The second half effort was very good all around. We had some players really step up off the bench when they needed to."

Bailey Schaefer had a team-high 17 points. She finished with a double-double by adding 10 rebounds to go with three assists, one block and three steals. Kristen Kokett added 10 points and seven steals. Kailee Klimek finished with eight points, and Olivia Otto had seven.
