It admittedly wasn’t pretty for the Brandon-Evansville boys basketball team on Saturday afternoon, but the Chargers (12-6) found a way to win their fourth straight game and second in as many days.

Brandon-Evansville came off a 48-41 win against Hillcrest Lutheran on Friday. Shots were hard to come by in that game, and it was a similar story Saturday at Long Prairie-Grey Eagle where the Chargers beat the Thunder (7-12) 39-29.

“It's crazy to think a varsity basketball game can end with a score like this,” B-E head coach Trent Hintermeister said. “I thought our defense played well again today on the road. I was happy with how our guys followed the defensive game plan. Offensively, we struggled to put the ball through the hoop again. Next week we have three section games that mean a lot, so we need to continue our defensive efforts and shoot the ball a little better.”

Tanner Bitzan was the Chargers’ only player in double figures with 10. Titus Fuller added nine points, and Lance Larson led LPGE with 10.
