The Ashby boys basketball team (12-7) halted a four-game skid on Thursday night by beating Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley (0-17) 70-34.

The final loss in the losing streak was a 64-36 loss at Frazee (8-9) on Feb. 3. Hunter Norby was Ashby’s only player in double figures that night with 15 points.

The Arrows got back sophomore big man Jacob Cook on Thursday. Cook missed five games with an ankle injury, and he provided 14 points, eight rebounds and three assists in his return.

“We missed his contributions, that’s for sure,” Ashby head coach John Holsten said.

Hunter Norby added 14 points and five rebounds in the win over CGB. Torin Olson had 12 points, and Jaden Norby also added 12 points to go with eight rebounds and four assists.
