The Brandon-Evansville boys basketball team dropped a second straight game against a Section 6A opponent on Monday night after Hancock won a 62-57 game.
The Owls (5-4) got a game-high 26 points from sophomore center Matt Thompson and nine each from Kody Berget and Daniel Milander to lead the way. The Chargers led by four at the break but got outscored 32-23 in the second half.
“We got out-competed tonight on the boards,” B-E head coach Trent Hintermeister said. “We didn't do the things necessary to win. It's becoming something we need to figure out soon. We had a couple guys play well offensively in spurts, but we weren't consistent enough to win this one.”
Senior guard Marshall Riedel had 22 points and knocked down three threes for the Chargers (7-4). Titus Fuller added 14 points on a night when just five players scored for B-E.
