The Brandon-Evansville girls basketball team made it two wins in a row to start the season on Tuesday night as the Chargers edged Park Christian in a 43-37 game.

It was Brandon-Evansville’s first road test, and the Chargers’ defense led the way. They held the Falcons to 11 first-half points. That led to a six-point lead by the break that B-E held onto down the stretch.

The season opener featured a nice shooting night from Haddey Zastrow. She knocked down three triples again on her way to nine points, but Bailey Schaefer was the catalyst offensively for the Chargers on Tuesday. She also hit three triples on her way to a team-high 13 points. Mikenna Pattrin had seven points, 13 rebounds, five blocks and three assists.

The Chargers will take their 2-0 record into the Thanksgiving break before going to Battle Lake on Dec. 3 for a 6 p.m. tip.
