Boys basketball: Knights win sixth straight to improve to 9-3

The West Central Area boys basketball team won its sixth straight game and left no doubt in the process on Friday night.

The Knights (9-3) shot 50 percent (30-of-60) on the way to an 82-52 win over Wheaton-Herman-Norcross. They dominated the boards, outrebounding the Warriors (3-7) 38-26. They also turned the ball over just seven times.

“All 12 guys played very unselfish with good ball movement,” WCA head coach Kraig Hunter said. “We had a lot of assisted baskets and played with enthusiasm.”

Grant Beuckens led four WCA players in double figures with 18 points and seven assists. Jack Van Kempen added 17 points and eight rebounds, while Gage Staples and Teigen Moritz each had 10 points.
