Boys basketball: Lakers improve to 7-2

The Minnewaska boys basketball team improved to 7-2 on Tuesday night as the Lakers took care of Benson (2-7) in a 67-50 game.

The Lakers shot 60 percent from the field (21-of-35), including a 7-of-13 clip from three. They led 31-22 at the break and put up another 36 after halftime.

Grant Jensen led three Minnewaska players in double figures with 19. Shawn Carsten added 14 points and Ryan Amundson finished with 10.
