Baseball: Late run propels Sauk Rapids over Alexandria
The Alexandria baseball team had a five-game winning streak snapped in Sauk Rapids on Monday as the Storm scored a run in the sixth inning with the help of two errors to secure a 3-2 win.
The Cardinals (11-3, 9-2 Central Lakes Conference) led 2-0 after single runs in the third and fourth innings. Isaac Peterson drove in Tate Breitkreutz on a groundout in the third, and Luke Levasseur scored on a wild pitch in the fourth.
The Storm (6-8, 6-3 CLC) responded with two runs in the bottom of the fourth to tie it. Cullen Krueger got the big hit with a two-run single with two outs.
