Baseball: Glenwood Lowry Legion 18U holds off Ashby 6-4

Hunter Johnson hits a home run in a win for Glenwood Lowry over Ashby

GLENWOOD - After trailing 6-1 after four innings to the Glenwood Lowry Legion 18U team, the Ashby Legion Post 357 team attempted to make a comeback but came up short in a 6-4 defeat on Monday.

Glenwood Lowry got the board early with three runs in the first inning and three runs in the third inning.

Ashby scored in the first, one in the fifth and two in the sixth.

Jacob Blair pitched a complete game for Glenwood Lowry and had four strikeouts while allowing five hits, three walks and just one earned run.

Hunter and Torii Johnson each had two hits for Glenwood Lowry. Hunter Johnson had three of the team’s five RBIs and had a home run.


Torin Olson and Bradee Christianson each had two hits for Ashby, while Brodie Ecker had the team’s other hit.

Christianson, Evan Paulson and Robert Nelson had an RBI for Ashby.

Hunter Norby was the starter for Ashby on the mound. He pitched 2.1 innings and had two strikeouts but allowed six runs and a home run.
