Four teams are still going in the Minnesota Baseball Association Region 16C Playoffs as the Fergus Falls Hurricanes sit in the driver's seat.
With a 3-0 win over the Urbank Bombers in Kensington on Aug. 6, and a 14-3 win over the Sauk Centre Titans on Aug. 7, Fergus Falls has already qualified for the Class C State Tournament and will play in the Region 16C Championship game on Saturday at 4 p.m. in Kensington.
Three other teams, Urbank, Sauk Centre and the Alexandria Black Sox, are still vying for that second state qualifying spot.
Alexandria lost 3-0 to Sauk Centre on Aug. 6, but bounced back with a 2-0 win over the Dent Wildcats in an elimination game on Aug. 7.
Dent had been coming off of a 10-0 win in an elimination game against the Osakis Hawks.

Following its loss to Fergus Falls, Urbank topped the Breckenridge Bucks 2-0 on Aug. 7 in an elimination game.
Alexandria and Urbank now play each other in an elimination game on Friday at 8 p.m. in Carlos.
The winner of that game will advance to face Sauk Centre on Saturday, Aug. 13. at 1 p.m. in Kensington. The winner of the 1 p.m. game in Kensington will secure a spot at state and have a quick turn around and face Fergus Falls at 4 p.m. in the championship game.
Last season, Alexandria, Fergus Falls and Urbank were the final three remaining teams.
Alexandria won the 2021 Region 16C title by beating Fergus Falls in the championship semifinal 10-3 and championship game 20-11 in Urbank. Alexandria made a run to the 2021 MBA Class C State semifinals, where it lost 9-6 to eventual state champion, the Sobieski Skis.
To get to the 2021 Region 16C Championship game Fergus Falls upended Urbank 15-6.
The two teams that make the 2022 Region 16C Championship game will qualify for the MBA Class C State Tournament, which begins on Aug. 19.

Starbuck will play an elimination game on Aug. 13 at 1:30 p.m. in Spicer against Milroy. The winner of that game plays the winner of Willmar and Atwater at 4 p.m. that same day.
Starbuck beat Willmar 11-1 in its opening game of the Region 4C Tournament on Aug. 6 and then fell into the elimination bracket after a 9-2 loss to Bird Island on Aug. 7.
There are three spots at the state tournament up for grabs out of Region 4C. Two more wins for either Willmar, Atwater, Starbuck or Milroy would advance them into that field of the last three teams standing in the tournament.
Bird Island and Raymond have already secured the first two spots at state by winning their first two games of the region tournament. They play at 7:30 p.m. on Aug. 12 in Spicer. The winner advances to the title game, and the loser faces whatever team comes out of the elimination bracket during the first two games played on Aug. 13.
The Region 4C championship game is scheduled for Aug. 14 at 11 a.m. in Spicer.
