The Alexandria boys tennis team followed up its 6-1 win over St. Cloud Apollo on Monday by breezing past Sartell in a 7-0 sweep a day later.

Jacob Partington, Gannon Lueck, Landon Schabel and Aaron Jost all returned to their spots in the singles lineup and combined to drop just five games in straight-set wins against the Sabres.

Pieter Mulder and Andrew Wegner were back together at first doubles where they won a 6-4, 6-0 final. Dylan Nelson and Owen Gilbertson added a straight-set win at second doubles, and Cole Haabala and Blake Svee dropped just five games in a win at third doubles.

“Blake Svee jumped into the lineup for the first time this season, and our team is showing more versatility,” Alexandria head coach Dave Ronning said. “The Sartell players at all three doubles spots competed hard and gave our guys some challenging games. Sartell's doubles teams were very aggressive and kept putting pressure on our teams, but in the end, the smart play of our guys paid off and everyone prevailed in straight sets.”
Alexandria is 12-0 after the two early-week wins in the Central Lakes Conference.
