The Alexandria U15 B girls hockey team almost came back with a state championship after qualifying for the tournament through regions this past March.

Alexandria finished second in the state tournament that was held in Dodge County March 26-28. They played Litchfield-Dassel-Cokato in the championship, where Litchfield won a 2-0 game.

Alexandria dominated its tournament opener with a 6-0 win over Wayzata Blue. That sent them into a game against Osseo-Maple Grove White the next day where Alexandria won a 2-1 overtime final that secured its spot in the state finals.
