The Alexandria boys golf team is in the midst of a busy stretch that includes two days of golf to start this week after a Central Lakes Conference meet last Thursday and a 36-hole meet at Edinburgh USA Golf Course through this past Saturday.
That two-day event at Edinburgh USA featured some top programs in the state, and Maple Grove won the tournament with a 603 after shooting rounds of 298 and 305. That was just in front of Minnetonka at 604. Alexandria was sixth at 632, which included rounds of 319 and 313.
Braeden Sladek shot rounds of 71 and 72 to finish tied for fifth individually at 143. Ashton Sladek tied for 31st with a 161 (77, 84). Grant Rebrovich shot a 163 (t-39th, 87, 76), while Andrew Swedberg (t-44th, 84, 81 - 165), Carver Larson (t-58th, 90, 85 - 175) and Peter Sansted (60th, 91, 86 - 177) rounded out the lineup.
Alexandria finished second at the CLC meet hosted by St. Cloud Tech on April 29 after shooting a 325. Sartell-St. Stephen won with a 322 behind Logan Hamak’s medalist round of 72.
Braeden Sladek paced Alexandria with a 76 that was good for third place, and Ashton Sladek was 10th with an 82. Swedberg (83) and Rebrovich (84) finished off the team scoring, while Sansted and Larson both shot 85 to complete the Cardinals’ lineup.

Harste leads Lakers to second at Fairmont
The Minnewaska boys finished second at the Fairmont Invitational on Saturday as the Lakers shot a 326 and put all four of their team scorers in the top 15.
Senior Cole Harste led the way for Minnewaska as he tied for second by shooting a 77. Senior Mason McGinty carded an 82, while sophomore Riley Larson shot an 83 and 8th-grader Zach Guggisberg finished off the scoring with an 84.
Blue Earth Area won the team tournament, and Fairmont was behind Minnewaska in third place.
