With multiple personal records set, Alexandria defeated Fergus Falls 134.1-130.75 Thursday

FERGUS FALLS – The Alexandria gymnastics team bounced back from a loss to Bemidji Tuesday with a 134.1-130.75 win over Fergus Falls Thursday.

Ailynn Fettig stole the show with wins in all four events and finishing with the best all around score of 36.0.

Fettig set or tied two personal records Thursday. She tied her personal record in the floor event (9.4), while teammate Izzy Kent finished fifth. Fettig set a personal record on the bar (9.05).

This Alexandria squad put themselves in the record books by scoring the fifth-best bar score in school history (33.7).

Kent and Addison Twa beat their personal records on the bar by posting a 8.5 (Kent) and 8.3 (Twa).


Fettig won the vault event by posting a 9.1 and won on the beam by posting a 8.45. Kent finished third in the vault event by posting a season-best 8.85.

Alexandria hits the road again Tuesday to face Sauk Rapids-Rice at 6 p.m.
