The Alexandria tennis team pushed its unbeaten streak to five matches to start this season by breezing past Willmar in a road contest on Tuesday.

Alexandria won 7-0 and took every match in straight sets. Jacob Partington, Gannon Lueck, Landon Schabel and Aaron Jost swept the singles lineup.

Andrew Wegner and Pieter Mulder again set the tone at first doubles with a 6-0, 6-0 win. Dylan Nelson and Owen Gilbertson followed suit with a win at second doubles, and Tyler Jabas and Brennan Parker won at third doubles.
“Our guys dominated play from start to finish,” head coach Dave Ronning said “Brennan Parker moved into third doubles with Tyler Jabas and they surrendered just one game. Willmar is a very young team with no seniors on the roster, but our guys did go out and play well. Things get tougher as St. Cloud Tech comes to town Thursday for a dual meet.”
