The Alexandria boys and girls track and field teams got a chance to compete in a little bigger field of teams on May 13 as they traveled to St. Cloud Apollo for a quad and came away with wins in both divisions.

The Alexandria boys scored 106 points behind 34 personal bests and by winning eight of the 18 events. Bemidji was a distant second with 80 points, and Apollo (59) and St. Cloud Tech (27) rounded out the field.

The Alexandria girls separated themselves from the field by a wide margin, scoring 130.5 points behind 47 personal bests and eight more season bests.
“This is exactly the type of progress we hoped for as we approach our true team section meet this Tuesday,” girls’ head coach Meghan Orgeman said.
