The Alexandria girls track and field team grabbed a second straight win to start its season by winning a home triangular with 89.7 points.
Moorhead was second at 65, and Fergus Falls rounded out the field at 30.33. Alexandria had 10 first-place finishes in the win and 27 personal bests.
Senior Alexis Cole had wins in the 100-meter hurdles in 17.97 and the 300 hurdles in 51.43. Giselle Jahner (1,600-meter run), Miah Wessel (200 dash, 28.38, 400 dash, 1:04.54), Aleah Miller (3,200-meter run), Elena Fuglestad (long jump) and Hailie Kent (triple jump) all added individual wins.
Ailynn Fettig, Allie Randazzo, Wessel and Whitly Netland got the relays going in the 4x200 as they won in 1:56.92. The 4x400 group of Myah Kremer, Emma Ecker, Emma Reineke and Greta Oldenkamp also won in 4:21.92.

Alex boys second to Moorhead
The Alexandria boys finished second to a strong Moorhead team as the Spuds scored 96 points, and the Cardinals finished with 62.5. Fergus Falls was third at 27.5.
Alexandria had 34 personal bests and five first-place finishes. Nolan Morical won the 100-meter dash in 11.18 seconds and the long jump in 20-01. Jack Theien won the 400 dash in 54.31, and Jacob Kleven won the 3,200-meter run in 10:20.02. Zander Homelvig rounded out the Cardinals’ winners by taking the discus with a mark of 131-07.

Minnewaska girls first, boys second
A talented Minnewaska girls team won its home invite against four other programs on Thursday with 175 points, while the Lakers’ boys team finished second at 83 points.
McKenzie Luetmer led a 1-2-3 finish in the 400-meter dash by winning in 1:04.52. Freshman Izzy Bautista took the 1,600-meter run, and Kiearra Wilmes led a 1-2-3 Lakers’ finish in the 3,200 in a winning time of 13:49.63.
Ava Chevalier won both the 100 and 300 hurdles, and Minnewaska won the 4x400 and 4x800 relays. Stephanie Longman took the pole vault by clearing seven feet, and Kristen Glover (triple jump) and Metaya Jergenson (discus) rounded out the winners for Minnewaska.
On the boys’ side, Noah Danielson won the 800-meter run in 2:25.71, and Maeson Tank took the 1,600 run (5:25.48). The Lakers’ 4x400 and 4x800 relays won, and Peyton Johnsrud (6-06) and Connor Johnsrud (44-02.25) led the way in jumps by winning the high jump and triple jump, respectively.
