The Alexandria boys hockey team continued to roll through the first part of the season with a 4-1 win over St. Cloud Tech last Thursday.

Zach Johnson led the way with three assists and Ryan Marciniak had two goals. Cam Birkeland got Alexandria on the board first with his first-ever varsity goal in the opening frame.
The Tigers tied it at one apiece a few minutes later, but Alexandria responded with two more goals in the first period. Both of those came from Marciniak as he scored at 11:53 and 14:29 off assists from Johnson to give the Cardinals momentum heading into the first intermission.
Neither team scored in the second period, but Cammeran Brown’s goal off an assist from Alec Wosepka put the finishing touches on the win just 3:13 into the third period.
The Cardinals dominated the pace of play, outshooting the Tigers 55-12. Jack Nettleton got the win in net with 11 saves. Jake Berger took the loss for Tech with 51 saves.
