The Glenwood-Lowry Legion baseball team jumped all over Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa in an 11-0 win on June 30.
Aaron Ver Steeg had a big night with a home run, two runs scored and three RBIs. Darion Alexander had two hits and two RBIs, and Dylan Alexander drove in two runs as well.
That was plenty of offense for Ver Steeg. He was dominant on the mound with 12 strikeouts in five shutout innings where he allowed just two hits. Mitchell Gruber tossed two scoreless innings to close the game out.
Glenwood-Lowry turned around a day later and won by a similar fashion against Long Prairie-Grey Eagle in an 11-1 final.
Gruber went 4-for-4 with a double, a triple, two runs scored and an RBI. Ver Steeg had another good game with a double, a triple, two runs and three RBIs.

Darion Alexander got the win on the mound. He went the first three innings and struck out eight without allowing a run before Torii Johnson fanned two over the final two frames.
