The Parkers Prairie trap shooting team was part of the Class 5A field that shot at the Minnesota State High School Clay Target League championship in Alexandria on June 15.

Parkers Prairie finished 22nd as a team that day with a five-person score of 443 out of a possible 500. Badger-Greenbush-Middle River won the Class 5A championship by shooting a 483, while Roseau was second (481) and Tri-City United High School was third (477).

Kolby Becker led the Parkers Prairie varsity team with a 93 out of 100. Dawson Smith was second on the team with a 90. Hunter Penrose shot an 88, and Trever Arceneau, John Oberg and Joseph Palmer each shot an 86 as the final two scores to count toward the varsity team score.

Hannah Bergsnev of Badger-Greenbush-Middle River was competing at the junior varsity level based on her season average on June 15 but saved her best for the championship shoot. She busted a perfect 100, joining teammate Zach Evans, who was varsity high gun, as the only two in the field that day to shoot a perfect score.
