The Brandon-Evansville softball team's 6A-North semifinal game against defending state champion New York Mills has been moved to Frazee on Thursday.
The two teams were originally scheduled to play in Browerville, but wet field conditions there have moved the game to Frazee. The Chargers (16-2) and Eagles (19-2) will play at 4 p.m. These two teams did not meet in the regular season.
Win or lose, both New York Mills and Brandon-Evansville will play a second game on Thursday. The winner plays the winner of Browerville (17-3) and Frazee (14-7), while the losers of the two games also meet after the first games played at 4.
The Chargers have to win at least one of those two games to advance in section play when the tournament moves to Minnewaska High School next Tuesday.
West Central Area is also alive on the South half of the Section 6A bracket. The second-seeded Knights play third-seeded Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley on Thursday at 4 p.m. at Minnewaska Area High School, with a second game to follow.
WCA (16-3) and CGB (11-7) split the season series this year. The Knights won an 8-4 game on April 5, while the Wolverines took the rematch in a 9-8 game on April 29.
