The Brandon-Evansville girls basketball team stymied Rothsay on Friday night as the Chargers (3-1) won their third straight game with a 56-28 win over the Tigers (1-4).

“Our strong defensive play continued, but we struggled to score early,” B-E head coach Sam Lange said. “We were able to get the scoring going late in the first half when we got the ball inside and got to the free throw line. With two injured, our depth showed up again, and it was overall a great team win with all 11 players scoring.”

Haddey Zastrow led the offense with 14 points, while Sara Jacobson added 10. Brittany Korkowski had three points but added seven rebounds, a block, two assists and two steals.

The Chargers are back in action tonight, Monday, when Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley (4-1) comes to Brandon at 7:30 for Section 6A matchup.
