The Alexandria boys soccer team will get a shot at second-seeded St. Cloud Cathedral on Saturday afternoon after the Cardinals knocked off Little Falls in a 1-0 game on Thursday.

Alexandria (5-12) came in as the sixth seed in the 8A-South and the Flyers (11-5-1) were the third seed, but the Cardinals escaped with the narrow win on a cold night. JJ Foster scored the game’s only goal in the second half when Graham Peterson found him on a corner kick.

The Cardinals will now play at St. Cloud Cathedral (14-3) on Saturday afternoon at 1:30. The Crusaders beat Minnewaska in an 8-0 game on Thursday night to advance to the section quarterfinals. Alexandria played Cathedral on Sept. 24 and lost a 4-3 game.
