The Underwood boys basketball team (3-2) dropped Ashby to 0-6 on the season with a 70-43 home win over the Arrows last Thursday.
The Rockets led 33-22 at the half and stretched that out over the final 18 minutes.
“I thought our energy to start the game was good, but the momentum shifted pretty quickly in Underwood’s favor,” Ashby head coach Jeremy Knick said. “Underwood played a pretty disciplined offensive game and their half court zone gave us some trouble. We did a little better rebounding the ball tonight, but we still gave up too many second chance points. Our team defense has to get better. We can’t keep giving up 70-plus points a game.”
Nathan Cook had what Knick called his best offensive game of the season with 13 points. Zach Barry added 11, while Miles Wing had 10 points and Dakota Fossan had four points and 11 rebounds.
