Eric Branch got the only win for Alexandria on Tuesday night as the Brainerd tennis team handed the Cardinals a 6-1 loss in the Central Lakes Conference.

Branch took care of Peyton Argir at fourth singles by a 6-1, 6-4 score. The Warriors won every other match in straight sets.

"Brainerd took it to us bad on our home courts and this is hard to swallow," Alexandria head coach Dave Ronning said. "Our guys had a rough night and look to get the bad taste out of our mouths when Apollo comes to town on [Thursday]."
