SCHOOL DISTRICT 206

Personal choice was the topic of discussion for a very large group of parents and community members that gathered outside the Alexandria School District 206 offices the morning of Thursday, Sept. 2. The group gathered for a rally for "truth and choice," and to voice its displeasure with the recent move requiring face coverings for K-6 students at the district for at least the first two weeks of school. Parents were informed of the decision via email on Aug. 27.
Face coverings will be required for K-6 students when they are inside school buildings beginning on Tuesday, Sept. 7 and they are strongly encouraged for 7th through 12th-grade students.
