July 12-18

As the world outside is changing so will this article. Our goal is to let you know what is going on inside our campus at Community Memorial Home in Osakis.

This week was our 18th week of campus-wide restrictions. Each day a member of the activity staff goes room to room to see if there are any specific wants and needs, we can meet or do with the residents/tenants. Some of the requests are to have their hair set and styled, nails done, hang hearts on windows, one-on-one crafts, play a game of cards and some just need to have one-on-one conversation.

On Monday, ice cream treats were delivered to all residents. We played bingo together in West View, everyone enjoyed being able to play together again.

On Tuesday, snacks and beverages were delivered to all residents. Many also enjoyed TV bingo in the afternoon.

On Wednesday, protestant communion was given in Terrace Heights as a group. Snacks and beverages were delivered to all other buildings per usual.

On Thursday in CMH, we had a few of the ladies together for Nifty Nails. Some of the men joined us after for some coffee and conversation. Catholic communion was given as a group in West View. Snacks and beverages were delivered to the other buildings per usual. Many also enjoyed TV bingo in the afternoon.

Friday we delivered chips and salsa and a tropical paradise drink to all residents for happy hour.

Thank you to all the family and friends that have stopped by for a window visit and/or an outside visit!

If anyone is in the mood to write letters to our residents, do not let fear hold you back.

If you want someone in particular, please let us know (320-859-6280 or resident@galeon.com) as we need to set it up.

Have a great week!
