To the editor:
In rebuttal to the Oct. 27 paid political letter from Andrew Wiener. He stated that Sen. Ingebrigtsen made no mention of “…the national 1776 Project PAC endorsement of a candidate or the resources they’ve poured into this local race.” He was referring to Senator Ingebrigtsen’s letter as if the senator would know the details of Eigen’s campaign.
I confirmed with the Eigen Campaign there was one email exchange between the PAC and Eigen. She appears on their website as an endorsed candidate. Eigen has not received any direct donation. The PAC has spent no known money in our area. If they do, they will be identified as having paid for the advertisement as required by campaign finance law.
Maureen Eigen has worked hard in her campaign, resulting in an unprecedented level of financial donations and volunteer hours. Watch for campaign finance reports to be made public to confirm this.
