To the editor:
District 8B’s current representative, Mary Franson, has given me cause for concern. Her willingness to meet with her constituents seems to depend on whether or not they are from the same political party, even though her position requires her to represent ALL of her constituents. She has embarrassed our district several times with her inappropriate, divisive, and negative comments which does little to unify the people in our area.
We have a better option for 8B. Carol Wenner is someone who is willing to listen to ALL her constituents. She is emotionally stable, calm, and will work hard to help us come together, instead of looking to divide our community through the distribution of misinformation and inflammatory remarks. She has already shown leadership in our area through her work with the Chamber of Commerce and local business leaders, and with the ATCC and Governor Pawlenty’s MnSCU Board of Trustees (proving she can work with people from both political parties).
