To the editor:
Carol Wenner is a candidate who loves her District 8B community and represents the values of that community.
My mom grew up on a small prairie farm washing eggs to sell to help put food on the table. Life was not easy but it drove her to do better. She left her childhood home with an unwavering faith in God, a deep sense of compassion for others, and an undeniable understanding of the value of hard work.
She made sure that my brother, sister, and I knew the importance of community. One of my early memories is of her helping fund raise to get the Forada park built all while raising a family and working full time. We still joke that we can’t walk 40 feet in Viking Plaza mall before she meets someone who wants to talk to her. People know she cares and respects them. It shows in the eloquent and heartfelt words she chooses.
What I know as Carol’s daughter is that it is her passion for family and community that makes her the best candidate for Minnesota House in District 8B.
