Paid letter: Study the platforms of school board candidates and vote for Patience

To the editor:

I have lived in Independent School District 206 for almost 40 years. In that time, I have seen a group of incredible educators who are deeply concerned about the growth and welfare of our students. I have seen strong evidence that they work to help assure our students become good citizens, capable critical thinkers and objective guardians of our cherished democracy.

That is why I am excited to vote in the current primary school board election. I have studied all three candidates’ Facebook pages and listened to them speak on issues. There is no doubt that one candidate is clearly superior to the other two.

Jeff Patience is more knowledgeable, more involved, and more able to positively contribute to our school district. He does not subscribe to vague, unproven accusations regarding our state’s social studies curriculum. Instead, he will work to support all of the curriculum areas that enable our students to become well-balanced, objective, thinking, and caring citizens of our county.

I will vote for Jeff Patience. If you study the platforms of all three candidates, I think you too will vote for Jeff.
