Letter: Why give an experimental vaccine to children?

The following is a letter to the editor submitted to the newspaper by a reader. It does not necessarily reflect the views of the Echo Press. To submit a letter, send it to aedenloff@echopress.com or Echo Press, P.O. Box 549, Alexandria, MN 56308.

To the editor:

Why give a COVID-19 experimental vaccine to our children?

The mRNA new experimental vaccine is administered under an Emergency Use Authorization, before it has been fully tested and approved and has never been used before. It is not like flu shots. And if there are any issues in the future with this vaccine, you cannot take it back, it is permanent.

It appears to me that there is less harm to our kids with the very high survival rate of COVID-19 as compared to the unknown long-term effects of the experimental COVID-19 vaccine on our children.
