To the editor:

I am an eight-decade-old grandma, and I want to thank my family, friends and community for their help in keeping me safe and healthy through the past COVID-19 year.

Thank you, folks, for wearing your masks and social distancing to help keep that sneaky COVID virus at bay. I also want to thank those people who are getting vaccinated to protect themselves, their families and neighbors in the future.

Again, I thank God and all of you diligent, smart, caring people for helping me enjoy a healthy life in this time of COVID-19.
