To the editor:
Slooooowwwwww and no USPS mail delivery!
I have paid local bills lately that take three to four weeks to arrive to the payee or still have not arrived in 10 weeks, so I wrote another check to the payee and have a check floating out there. I have paid late fees for a check mailed at the Alexandria Post Office, postmarked and arrived three weeks after I dropped it in the outside mailbox. The letter went two blocks from the Alexandria USPS.
Additionally, I may not receive mail in my rural box for up to four days, the mailbox is full with the door left open and receiving the Echo Press two or three days past the usual schedule. I have found my mailbox and two neighbors' box doors left open after mail delivery. I guess we will wait till spring to get that mail in the ditch, again, after the snow melts.
I called the Alexandria Post Office and the “800” number and they were to return my call. The Alexandria postmaster returned my call and said to file a claim and the “800” number never did return my call. I have stopped by the Alexandria Post Office with no satisfaction as to my question, “Where was the mail for three or four weeks that was not postmarked or processed?”

Everyone is having these same experiences that we visit with.
I now write on the back of all envelopes, the date and place I mailed it, so the recipients know when it was mailed and the delivery time it is taking. Additionally, I will be doing more business on-line or personally dropping correspondences off to recipients.
If you find my mail, please return it to me, personally, I will do likewise.
If my mail is late, sorry!
