To the editor:
What a relief that someone on the school board stands on principle. (Echo Press, Friday, January 13, 2023: "Knudsen declines taking oath...").
No one should have to take an oath — even grudgingly with fingers crossed behind their back — that includes the word "equitable." Perhaps if the word had been "partial" that would be a different matter. So let's expunge "equitable" from oaths. Let's not write "equitable." Let's not hear "equitable." Let's not see "equitable." Let's not speak "equitable." Let's not think "equitable."
