To the editor:

Thalen Zimmerman’s (Sept. 2) story, “Proposal at the peak,” deserved to be on the front page above the fold.

My father-in-law, Kensington native Ralph Gunderson, brought the paper out to our family gathering at Lake Ida this past weekend to show us this story. He was Myron’s neighbor some time ago.

We all thought the writing excellent. Mr. Zimmerman walked us through history in a way we could easily visualize the events and even see them through the eyes of Marvin and Ardys themselves as he used their own words. I could have been mawkish, but it was, in fact, inspirational!
